I'm not sure that I would ever have completed this project (the tarot), had I set out, from the beginning to do so. The making of this tarot is, in every sense of the word, the story of a journey; a journey where the places along the way and the people that are met are the substance of the experience.

So I met and came to know each card individually while I myself was travelling the north and east of Australia in a twenty year old station wagon; very often camped in the wilderness and always very much alone. The kind of solitude that makes introspection not a luxury, but a constant, sometimes uncomfortable companion.
