The Blue Gum Box

This box was constructed without the use of ornamental legs in a chunky style, using one of the richest coloured and densest of Australian native hardwoods.

The method of fastening is a little different to most others and, although it incorporates the more familiar "rod and orifice" catch, the lid is of two hinged parts (without the use of metal).

 It is a very solid, classic, 'monumental' type of design.
